Cut the wires. Go wireless
If your office is cluttered with wires and cords, using wireless network connections will get rid of a few of them. The cost of going wireless in the office and the home has gone down thanks to the growing popularity of wireless-enabled laptops. You can now get a complete basic wireless networking kit (which often includes a wireless router and an adaptor for one computer) for as little as £30. Since Windows XP, configuring wireless networks has become quick and easy with many manufacturers now offering installation wizards. It is often a matter of plugging a couple of wires and following onscreen instructions. Although wireless is getting quicker, it isn’t suitable for large scale data transfer. If you go wirelesses then you have to be security minded. Ensure your wireless network is password secured, or else anyone passing by with a wireless device can access your data or use your connection to access the internet.
