Making best use of email
Email is one of the most valuable tools within a small business and therefore it is important for businesses to learn how to use it to its full potential.
- Think of having a company email rather than a generic email; something like yourname@yourcompany.co.uk. This will allow you to create a positive impression and give you the possibility to add other accounts at a later stage.
- Add a well-thought signature at the end of your emails; from a marketing point of view, signatures are non intrusive adverts that can deliver targeted messages straight to the customer.
- If you have a few key customers, take the time and send individual emails to ask them what they think of your service or to test a brand new product free of charge. Not only does this put your company in their inboxes, but it also generates a revenue flow and positive buzz.
- Even if your mail boxes are often clogged with spam, don't hesitate to distribute your email address online and include it on your business cards and letterheads.
