Tips
Save money and time with a computer network
A computer network is incredibly simple to set up and does not cost much either. This is because:
- All recent computers now come with a network port, meaning that connecting to a network is often only a matter of plugging a cable into a hub.
- 99% of operating systems are network friendly and do not require extensive reconfiguration.
- A computer network will allow you to share files and resources quickly and efficiently; within the company, particularly if you have more than one office. Rather than having one printer for each computer a network allows you to have a shared office printer, saving a great deal of money while offering advanced functions such a duplex printing (both sides of a page). Similarly, having a server controlling your network helps reduce software licensing costs, improve your workflow and keep a central repository for your files.
